Connor Jones is a certified permaculture designer and teacher with a lifelong fascination for ecology, anthropology, and traditional food systems. As a child he marveled at the wonders of nature in immersion with it and in small assembled ecosystems created at home. Later in life farming, and his love for ecology began to merge with the introduction to permaculture design. His discoveries led him to the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia at the age of 18 where he became certified to design and teach. Since then he has founded East End Eden a 10 acre family operated permaculture demonstration site in Ojai, California where he teaches regular workshops and offers mentorship opportunities through farm work trade positions. East End Eden is also a nursery for viared perennial crops well suited to the bioregion. Connor also has a permaculture design and consulting company that offers clients sound advice for improving their yields and land value through applied ecological design.
Ray Cirino is an inventor, permaculturist, artist, natural builder, carpenter and metal worker with a sense of humor. He fulfills his dream of making the world ecologically sustainable while enjoying each moment doing so. In 2012 he was awarded with the City of Los Angeles Certificate of Commendation for his creative contributions and community organizations. Ray teaches young people proven sustainable skills and methods. A prime mover and shaker in a world that has become less sustainable, he promotes the abundances nature offers.
Shayna Gladstone is a global organizer, transformational facilitator, sustainable farmer and co-founder of Earth Journeys and NuMundo, both organizations promoting personal and planetary transformation. Shayna is trained in Joanna Macy’s “Work that Reconnects”, is a Certified Permaculture Designer and has been working with clients for years to help them activate their wildest dreams. She has considered nature as her temple since she was a child and has always had a deep connection the earth. While being a digital nomad growing NuMundo for 3 years, she and Bryan visited ecovillages and sustainable living projects all throughout Central and South America. Shayna’s presence is inspiring and her ability to ignite passion in others is remarkable.
Bryan Arturo is a permaculture land steward who has lived and worked at over 20 regenerative communities until he landed at his ideal match, East End Eden in Ojai, CA. He balances a life interconnected between nature and technology as a community organizer, facilitator and entrepreneur. Bryan created and runs NuMundo’s one-on-one purpose-driven travel advisor program supporting those who want to plug into grassroots movements. He has led retreats and workshops all over the world that led him to co-found Earth Journeys and The Sustainable Living Tour. The annual tour takes 30 change-makers from around the world to SoCal’s leading eco-education hubs on a biofuel bus. These change-makers become catalysts for sustainability who draw inspiration from the impact centers they visited and engage in ongoing support for their projects.
